Author’s Note: Don’t own anything.

Sorry for the super long wait. School started and I’m already swamped with work. It also doesn’t help that I don’t have my own laptop because it broke, so I have to write in the library, and it’s just awkward…

Not really happy with this. If I had more time this would be much better. But I didn't want people to forget about this fic, and I know how much I hate waiting for authors to update.

Didn’t really have much time to edit, so I apologize in advance for any errors.

Chapter Nine

“What’s the matter with you? You’ve been so depressed lately.”

Siwon didn’t look at his roommate. Kibum had been pestering him all morning. It was just easier to ignore him.

“Come on, you’re worse than me on a regular basis.”

Siwon stayed silent. He stared at the wall next to him, fingers fiddling with the bed sheets.

Kibum threw his pillow from his bed at the other man. Siwon finally looked at him after it had hit him in the face. “What do you want?” He grumbled.

“You’ve haven’t left this room in two weeks. I’ve barely seen you eat. You don’t do anything except lie in that damn bed staring at nothing with that stupid look on your face. I’m sick of it! You’re depressing me. What is wrong with you?”

“Nothing is wrong with me.”

“Yeah right, like I’ll believe that. What the hell are you depressed about? Is it that guy from the club?”

“What guy from what club?”

Kibum stared at him. “What, do you have a faulty memory as well?”

“I don’t want to talk about it.” He turned over so he was facing the wall again, away from his younger friend.

“Well if you’re not going to talk, you better at least get your ass out of that bed. Go outside or something. Some fresh air will do you good. I swear you’re starting to rot in here.”

A knock sounded at the door.

Kibum turned his head lazily. He looked over at Siwon, who didn’t move, looking as if he hadn’t even heard it. Kibum sighed, throwing his textbook down and getting out of bed. “Probably Ryeowook asking to borrow the microwave again,” he muttered.

Kibum opened the door, surprise showing on his face when he did not recognize the man behind it. It was not Ryeowook.

“Um, can I help you?”

“Is Siwon here?”

Siwon nearly fell out of his bed. He could recognize that soft voice anywhere.

Kibum nodded. “Yeah, he’s here.” He slowly stepped back, giving Siwon a clear view of who was in the doorway.

Siwon’s jaw dropped. He stared at Hankyung, silent and still like a statue.

Kibum looked awkwardly between the two men. “Um, you okay?” He asked his frozen roommate.

Siwon blinked, still not answering.

It slowly dawned on him. Kibum turned back to the man in the doorway. “Are you… from the club?”

Hankyung nodded silently.

“Oh.” Kibum shifted uncomfortably, trying not to lean his weight on the door. “Uh… how’s Sungmin?”

Hankyung gave him a small smile. “He’s doing well.”

“That’s-that’s good. Uh, I… saw him a couple of times. He hasn’t… said anything about me, has he?”

Hankyung’s smile slowly disappeared as he shook his head sadly. “No, he hasn’t. He’s-he’s actually involved with someone, outside of the job.”

Kibum nodded, trying to not look as upset as he felt. “Yeah, I figured as much.”

“Sorry,” Hankyung said quietly.

Kibum looked back toward Siwon. “I guess I’ll leave you guys alone.” He quickly went and grabbed his textbook and book bag. Giving them one last look, he left the other two men to the silence of the room.

Hankyung slowly looked up from the spot on the ground he had been staring at.

Siwon still hadn’t said a word to him.

“Hi,” Hankyung finally said softly.

“Hi.” Siwon blinked his eyes, as if still refusing to believe the other man was here in front of him. “What are you doing here?” He whispered. He couldn’t believe he was seeing the dancer outside of the club. He had never even seen him during the day, unless it was morning and he was getting ready to leave. Right now, Hankyung looked like a beautiful mirage that might disappear if he approached too quickly. It didn’t seem real.

Hankyung laughed softly. “It took me so long to find your address. Surprising there are a lot of Choi Siwons’ in Seoul.”

Siwon didn’t miss how he avoided the question. “What are you doing here?” He repeated.

Hankyung bit his lip. “Can I come in?”

Siwon nodded.

Hankyung stepped into the room, silently closing the door behind him. He looked back up at the other man, looking shy and uncertain. “I’m leaving,” he whispered. “I just-thought you should know.”

Siwon took a step closer, his heart suddenly pounding in his chest, trying to comprehend the words he was hearing. It didn’t make any sense to him. “Leaving? What do you mean you’re leaving?”

“I’m going home, back to China. My mother-the doctors say the chemo worked. She’s the best she’s been in years.” He took a breath. “I want to see her,” he whispered.

Siwon blinked. It seemed that he was going to lose Hankyung again, which was of course impossible since he never really had him.

“Are-are you coming back?”

Hankyung looked at him sadly. “I don’t know. I don’t really like this place too much.” He laughed softly. “I’m sure you can figure out why. The only reason to come back would be for you.”

Siwon stepped closer still, until he was inches away from the other man. “Then come back for me.”

Hankyung looked at him sadly. “It’s-it’s not that easy. Siwon, I-”

Siwon put his hands on the other man’s arms, pulling him closer. “What’s so hard about it? Just come back here! Come back to me! Your mother’s all better now, we can-we can actually have a life together.”

Hankyung shook his head. “Believe me, I want that just as much as you do, but it’s just not that easy.”

“Why?”

“I’ve… I’ve put my life on hold for two years. I-I need to get my life back together. I’m… completely lost, I have no idea what I’m doing. I just want to go home. I can’t think about you right now.”

Siwon could feel his heart constricting in his chest. His hands gripped the other man tighter. “I need to know if you’re going to come back.” He whispered.

He took a shaky breath. “I don’t know.”

“Hankyung-”

“It’s hard, I-”

“Hankyung-”

“ I love you.”

Siwon froze, the words in his mouth were suddenly lost. It was as if time itself had stopped. He thought maybe he hadn’t heard correctly. He wondered if his brain wasn’t working correctly due to days of no use, and was cruelly playing tricks on him.

“What?”

“I love you.” Hankyung whispered. “I know I never said it. Maybe I didn’t want to believe it myself. I guess it’s time I admit to the both of us. I would love so much for us to have a real life together, but this just isn’t the right time.”

Siwon tried to comprehend his words, he tried to understand this new information. “When are you leaving?” he whispered.

Hankyung bit his lip and looked down. “Tomorrow morning.”

“Tomorrow morning?” Siwon shook his head. “No, no that’s not enough time! I-I want to spend time with you! This is the first time I’ve ever even seen you away from that place. I want to take you out, I want to go places with you. I want to-”

Hankyung suddenly cut him off by leaning forward and pressing his lips to the other man’s. He kissed him gently, hands reaching up to the taller man’s abdomen, gently grabbing a handful of his shirt. Siwon’s eyes fluttered shut, arms reached around the other man on their own accord.

Siwon moaned softly as Hankyung’s tongue slipped past his lips and gently massaged his own. Hankyung pressed his body close to the taller man’s. Siwon’s hand pulled him closer, so close that there was no space between them. Almost desperately, he pulled Hankyung’s shirt up, hands exploring the skin he hadn’t felt in what seemed like too long. Most definitely too long.

Siwon turned them around, pushing Hankyung onto the bed and falling on top of him. “I’ve missed you so much.” He murmured between kisses. “God, I’ve missed this so much.”

Hankyung smiled into the kiss. His hands reached up to run through the other man’s hair. He pushed the taller man off of him, flipping them over so he was on top. He slowly reached for his shirt, pulling it over his head a little too slowly for Siwon’s liking.

Siwon moaned as Hankyung came back down and ground his hips into his groin. He reached up, fingers caressing smooth skin, reaching and pulling the other man down on top of him, desperate to kiss those lips again. “I want you so bad.” He whispered. “I want you. I need you. I love you.” He murmured like a mantra.

Hankyung gazed into his eyes, gently kissing his lips. “I love you too.” He smiled softly. “Choi Siwon, you’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Siwon leaned up, capturing those lips again, pushing against the bed and sitting them both up. Hankyung reached between them, lifting the other man’s shirt up and throwing it off. Neither men looked to see where it landed.

Siwon’s hands ran up and down Hankyung’s back, fingers memorizing the dip of his spine, the smoothness of his skin.

Hankyung leaned his forehead of Siwon’s, savoring the closeness, wishing it could last forever. He closed his eyes, leaning in for soft kisses.

“I’m going to miss you,” Siwon whispered. “I’ll wait for you.”

Hankyung opened his eyes. He looked at Siwon, searching for sincerity. “You promise?”

Siwon nodded. “I promise. I don’t care how long it takes. I’ll wait for you.”

Hankyung smiled. He pushed the younger man back onto the bed.

Siwon watched, eyes wide open, as Hankyung ran his nimble fingers down his body, that delicious body he dreamt about every single night. He began to undo his pants, pulling them down with such grace that only he could ever achieve. Hankyung bit his lip, eyes glazed as he looked down at the man beneath him. Desire and longing gushed from his every pore.

Siwon felt his heart begin to beat faster, his body get warmer, certain areas south began to get hard. He let out a soft moan as Hankyung leaned down, laying his body so perfectly on top of his own. Lips coming down to kiss his, teeth softly nibbling on his lips.

The remainder of his clothes disappeared. Every fiber of his being was on fire. Pure ecstasy was the only way to describe what he was feeling. Siwon watched the other man, wishing he could memorize every single thing about him, the feeling of that thin waist in his hands, the softness of his hair, that beautiful smile that melted Siwon’s heart every time, those gorgeous eyes that exuded so much passion and love.

He wished they would never have to say goodbye.

Siwon moaned softly as he was enveloped in Hankyung’s heat. Pleasure wrapped around both their bodies like a hot, velvet blanket. He could feel Hankyung’s soft breath on his lips. He closed his eyes as their bodies rocked together in a perfect rhythm. He felt Hankyung’s lips gently kiss his neck, sucking softly on his skin. Shivers ran down his body, contrasting beautifully with the heat he felt. Hankyung kissed his way to his ear.

“Choi Siwon, I love you…”

“Please take care of yourself.”

Hankyung smiled at Leeteuk. “You know I will. Thank you so much for everything.” He embraced the older man in a tight hug. “I never would have gotten through it without you.”

They slowly parted. Hankyung turned to Kangin. “Look after him,” he said softly.

Kangin nodded solemnly. “I will.”

“Thank you, Kangin.”

Hankyung turned and smiled at Sungmin, who was pouting quietly, both his arms wrapped tightly around Eunhyuk from behind. “You two stay out of trouble, okay?”

“I’m going to miss you, hyung,” Eunhyuk said quietly.

Hankyung took a shaky breath. “I’ll miss you too. All of you.” He looked at Sungmin, “I’m glad you guys have each other.”

He gently took Eunhyuk’s hand in his own. “Stay clean, okay?” He whispered. “I’m so proud of you.”

Eunhyuk nodded. Hankyung didn’t miss how Sungmin tightened his hold around the younger man.

Finally, Hankyung looked at the man who, up until now, had been quiet. He walked over to Heechul. The older man had been staring at the ground, not wishing to partake in goodbyes. Hankyung stepped closer and gently wrapped his arms around him. After a few seconds, Heechul responded, arms coming up to tightly embrace him.

“Thank you, Heechul. Thank you for everything.” He murmured.

Hankyung’s hair tickled his skin, and he felt tears coming to his eyes. Heechul blinked, trying to make them go away. “I’m glad you got out,” he whispered. “I’m really glad.”

Hankyung slowed released his arms. The two men looked into each other’s eyes, silently exchanging so many emotions.

“Will you keep in touch?” Heechul asked softly, not quite sure which answer he was looking for.

Hankyung nodded. “I will.” He gripped Heechul’s hands in his own. “I owe everything to you,” he whispered.

Heechul shook his head. “You owe me nothing. Take care of yourself. I never want to see you back here again, okay?” He forced a small smile.

Hankyung turned back to look at everyone. They had become a family to him over the past two years. They were everything that he had. Even though he hated this place more than anything, it was still hard to say goodbye to people he had been so close to. People who had gone through as much as he had, and wanted to leave just as much.

“Good luck to you guys.” He said softly. “I love you all.” He slowly picked up his bag, looking to Siwon who had been standing quietly by the side. The other man had felt like an outsider, silently watching the exchanges between the other people. He had finally accepted that this was a world he knew nothing about, would probably never know anything about.

But he was glad Hankyung was getting out of it.

Hankyung reached out his hand, and Siwon took it, gently squeezing it as Hankyung turned to give his last goodbye.

A look was all that was needed. They all understood.

Sungmin and Eunhyuk had each other; hopefully, one day they would have enough money saved up to start their own life together. Leeteuk and Kangin exchanged eye contact. Leeteuk had been weary to accept the younger man’s feelings for him, and his own as well. Now, he realized that it was better to have love throughout obstacles and hardships, than to have never loved at all.

Heechul watched as Hankyung walked out with Siwon. Out of his club and out of his life. He would most likely never see him again. A part of him was glad, happy for the other man, even grateful that Hankyung had finally gotten out of this life. Another part of him was sad to see him go. Knowing that he’d never find another man as wonderful as him. It was heartwrenching.

“Goodbye Hankyung…”
