Did you see Friday's SG-1? Explain again why we're watching this?

I haven't watched Friday's SG-1 yet, but I can totally understand this feeling. I have 4 episodes on the DVR that I have utterly no desire to watch. And I've been a diehard SG-1 fan for 8 years.

Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Next time I'm out to visit, I want to go with you for sushi. I need someone who knows thier way around sushi to help me pick out what to eat.

I know so many people who are die-hard fans, but I just can't see the appeal. I've only watched this season though, and only for Ben Browder. I'm excited for Claudia Black to return.

I would love to show you the yumminess of sushi! I got matt to try the eel this time, and he actually liked it. It's one of those things that once you eat some of it, you generally like it.

I read your post about school. Is John just a moron?

My SG-1 love waned last year when Richard Dean Anderson went to part time. As much as I love Ben Browder on this show, I think the writers have fallen into the X-Files trap - they've made the show "political." I'm like "Dude, I don't want to see politics, human or Jaffa. I want to see things blow up and bad guys vanquished!!"

I look forward to sushi goodness during my next visit.

Is John just a moron?

General consensus is running to "Yes" right now. He seems to think he's going to be viewed as some sort of hero. Mostly we think he's an idiot.

OMG! Sushi, dog show, X-men... how perfect is that????!!!
I picked up the graphic novel of Ast. X-men but I'm not familiar with how many their are or what's in the graphic novel version. If there are more, I have to get them.

I think you have something there about the cons. Everyone is busy. How could they find the time. Oh well, I guess thats good. Tony being busy means more possibilities to see him.

Hope your week goes as nicely as your weekend.
::hugs::

You like Sushi too? Someday we must meet in person and hang out, eat sushi, and talk Buffy.

There are two graphic novels for Astonishing X-men. One is issues 1-6 and the other is 7-12. It says on the back which they are for. The exciting news is that Joss agreed to write 2 more years. He did such a great job with the story, it went back to old school x-men. And Cassady's artwork is delicious.

As for the cons, I think it will be interesting to see if these actors want to continue their association with the Buffyverse. Poor Alexis isn't doing anything yet, which may be why he's headlining Moonlight Rising.

And I have to give you a huge round of applause for the wickedverse so far. This is so much fun!!!!!

Hello, my friend!! skchwojko January 30 2006, 23:36:04 UTC
Why do I watch SG-1?...same reasons you stated Ben, Ben's voice, Ben's eyes, Ben in his jockeys, Ben saying "Let's do this", Ben's smirk (although, I haven't seen him smile/smirk much since Claudia left), and Claudia coming back March 3 & 10. That's why I watch ;) Next year, I bet will be MUCH better, because both of them will be on each ep. But yeah, this show is very dryyyyy. "Ripple Effect" with the multiple Bens. . that one wasn't bad.
