Hi Ray,

I noticed your post in the Bakery community. I wanted to drop by and say hello personally and invite you to a group that you might be interested in.

My name is Tiffany. I have a small not-for-profit organization that provides friendship, encouragement and support to military personnel onboard ships and deployed overseas. Our volunteers send letters, cards and care packages as a way of showing their thanks for all that our military continues to do.

As a security measure, all of our prospective pen pals are screened and required to go through an application process. Contact information for individuals is never made available in a public forum.

Hi, thanks for the invite. I am not sure if this is actually for me. Main reason being, that it seems to be a group for Supporters, and not for those currently on active duty. I could be mistaken on my take on it. And If I am, I do appologise.

This how ever did bring a smile to my face, to see that there are alot of supporters out there. I do get tired of hearing the negative all the time(Mainly from news,papers, and listing to other people) Thank you very much.

You are more than welcome! We have individuals and families across the nation that are involved (not to mention about 200 school children locally!).

The community was created originally for our volunteers although we do have active duty, spouses and extended families that have joined. It is not necessary to join to be 'adopted'. From time to time, I'll have information on military friendly merchants, legislation affecting our troops, etc.

If you'd like to consider being paired with one of our supporters (you are under no obligation but they typically send letters, cards and may also send care packages) please let me know. I am including the registration form below.
