Monday, February 15.

Danny Ross got up from his desk around mid-afternoon and walked over to his office door. He opened it, looking out into the Major Case bullpen. Spotting the two detectives he wanted to talk to, Ross called out, "Eames. Nichols. My office."

It was her first day without Goren and she was already being called into the office. At least she knew it wasn't going to be about something her partner had done.

She walked into Ross' office.

Zach was researching the Deep Six book series on Wikipedia which he realized probably wasn't the best use of the NYPD's resources, but considering he didn't actually have a case to work on...he opted to look busy instead.

He jumped when Danny called his name, because for a second he thought his secret love of sci-fi fiction was about to be outed. But, Eames was summoned too. Odd. Maybe he'd actually have something to do today, aside from playing gopher.

...or maybe he was about to get yelled at for meeting the girlfriend? Which, now that he thought about it, really wasn't his doing. She came to them, not the other way around. And he behaved for that matter.

"I didn't do it," he said as he walked into Danny's office.

"Sure you didn't," Ross said dryly. He looked at both detectives. "Well. Here we are."

"Here we are..." Alex didn't like the sound of this. She looked at Ross and then at Nichols. With a raised brow she turned back to Ross. Alex didn't need to tell him to spill it, the look on her face said it all.

Like Nichols, she knew she hadn't done anything wrong. Not yet. It was only Monday.
