50 [Voice]

[There's a high-pitched, if distant clatter in the background - like something sharp being dragged across metal. It's a discordant sound, unpleasant, and accompanied on occasion by an equally sharp scream, the noise animalistic... if not quite ( Read more... )

Ma-yu-ri-chan~!

[Hey, hey! Guess whose voice is coming from both the PCD and outside Mayuri's door?]

[Have some staring back.]

Why ever would I want to destroy your notes?

[Keeps on watching.]

Hmph. I'm sure the public would prefer it if you did.

[Urahara chuckles before shaking his head.]

Mayuri-chan, the public would have also preferred it had I left you in the Maggots' Nest, yet I still released you~

[His smirk widens.]

Besides, the public would be idiots to believe that destroying the notes and machines would be enough.

[Doesn't react to the mention of having been released by him, though after a moment he turns away, walking to one of the out-of-the-way counters, and replying as though Urahara hadn't said anything.]

I have most of them around here... yes.

[A couple folders, notebooks - even a few stray papers - are pulled from the stacks, and tossed onto one of the bits of free space without even looking back at him.]

Yuca might have taken some with him, when he left - I haven't checked since this current round of testing started.

[Walking over, Urahara sat himself down out of the way to read through the notes, eyes quickly darting from one side of the page to the other before flipping on to the next sheet.]

And how did you like this experiment, Mayuri-chan~?

[Glances back as Urahara starts going through his notes]

It wasn't bad. The technology wasn't something I'd really seen before. Even if the animals, in their current state, aren't much more than monsters.

Monsters with high healing rates and even regeneration abilities, but short lifespans... Is there any way to overcome that, do you know?

From what I saw from a previous immortal here - someone that Yuca completed the process on - the growth rate can be suppressed. Controlled so that it gives some sort of 'immortality', rather than mindless violence and a quick death.

Hmm... [Some slight tapping against the sheet before Urahara turns to the next page.] And how was it suppressed and controlled?

Through use of a metal implant, shaped like a cross. I've never inspected one personally, [and for once, he's grateful of that] but it regulates the amount of serum in the blood, filters it.

[Aww... why must you deprive him the pleasure of annoying information about the cross out of you, Mayuri-chan?]

How interesting...

[The notes of the ichor are paid a little more attention to before they're waved at Mayuri.]

Mayuri-chan~ What's this?

[Glances over to see what, exactly, Urahara is waving about. He frowns a bit more.]

Another method of controlling angels, I believe... I don't remember him getting very far with it.

I didn't say that. It's another thing to work on.

Hn... [Some careful scanning has the gist of it memorized before Urahara tosses the notes aside.] And what are you working on now~?
