Ah, yes, the kink meta one that examines the history of cross-dressing (digressing slightly to Sarah Bernhardt and thus managing a nod at the Victiorian-era parts of Sherlock Holmes fandom) and rugby (again incorporating Holmes) separately by following Merlin's reincarnations through the ages and finally juxtaposes the two directly when Arthur is reborn as the rising-star hooker (because you can't write fanfic in British fandoms without terrible puns) playing in the women's rugby league.
OH, yes, that plot-heavy eco-thriller where "rug" refers to a rather large drift of kelp just off the North-American Pacific coast, mainly because I didn't want to title yet another story "Under the Sea."
I believe the bit that most people commented on was John solving the case because Sherlock had no idea that summer in the Northern hemisphere meant winter in the Southern parts of the world. I thought it tied nicely into canon.

HAHAHAHA OMG. best part. i remember that so well. your characterisation and dialogue was so spot on. definitely one of your better pieces.
I really liked "The Mystery of the Green Sock, or, How John Watson Learned to Share the Kitchen with Severed Body Parts and Enjoy the Company", it was the perfect mix of domestic fluff and crack with a Sherlock's great case-solving skills mixed into it. ;-D
Ah, well, what can I say: once you've written a story where John makes friends with an African clawed frog named Cecil whose nails have been painted purple, Sherlock's liquefying a human thigh bone revolutionises British history as we know it, and you manage not to mention footwear of any colour even a single time throughout the story despite the title, everything else really is just transport. *g*

I obviously can't help but ask about your famous lost Sherlock Holmes story concerning "The Adventure of the Disappearing Police Box".

I would like to hear more about your Merlin story "Crossdressing is Nothing Like Rugby".

(actually, thinking of titles is hard without a story to go with it LOL)
