Well. Mr. Butcher certainly took the title seriously, didn't he?

Hee! You took the chance then :) I really loved how he starts pulling threads back after setting them up books and books ago. The whole Erlking thing was beautiful :)

Harry's not dead. Mab won't let him die...

I did! Public transport and 2 km from the station to the the job-training centre make for a lot of time for audio books. :)

And yeah, I loved that too. Funnily enough I'd just finished listening to the one with the zombies (Dead Beat?) again, so the moment he started to describe the Erlking I was all OMG heeee! and bouncing up and down. :D

I don't think so, either. Plus, getting shot would be a very cheap ending, storytelling-wise, and Jim Butcher's usually more for the drama.

I actually liked his slash-and-burn style of storytelling. I know I read once that he planned at least twenty books for this series, and it's nowhere near that point yet. Plus, destroying just about every familiar piece of his old life was clearly done so that he could start a whole new story arc without encumbrances. (I can't believe I actually spelled that word right on the first try.) I mean, he finished the war with the Red Court! Not quite single-handedly, but pretty damn close. So now instead of focusing all on the war, the White Council can go back to blaming Harry for everything that is wrong and probably persecuting him and/or hunting him for being the Winter Knight.

So glad that Susan and Murphy finally brained Harry with the clue bus as regards to Molly. Uh, yeah she has a thing for you, I know you're a complete moron about women but this should not have been a surprise.

Mouse talking was awesome. What Mouse said was even more awesome. Now I want even more to know what the hell he is, because he's supposed to be ( ... )

'Oh, come on, give the poor guy a break already!'
Oh, it looks like someone has been taking notes from Joss Whedon.

Yeah, I was whimpering on Harry's behalf for almost all of it. POOR GUY!

As for the next book, considering the title, Ghost Story, I'm thinking the latter, of dead, but that's reeeaaally not stopping him! ^_-

Where were you when I was freaking out last week and seeking fellow readers to flail with me?

Also, loved the whole bit with Molly being accustomed to her father always showing up when she needed him, Harry commenting that he'd never had that, and then surprise! Ebenezar.

... I was coherent before the allergy meds.

Oh good call on the Ebenezar hoping in to save him! I totally didn't see that!
