I,alas, was unvisited at Easter, which has absolutely nothing to do with any of this I realise. An advantage of being who I am- I am almost always an innocent bystander.
Oh, my friend. Trust me when I say that it wasn't because you were forgotten, but because I had a limited amount of time. I think I saw two or three people who weren't my family.
(I'm inserting this before the body of the comment because I just realized how rambling and discursive it is. Pardon in advance!)
(...and I'm inserting this ahead to note the clarity and poetry you show in your expression, as heart-wrenching or troubling as it may be.)
I think that part of the lesson of "Midnight in Paris" was that the present is a gift in of itself. Being born 90 years ago would put you just two years after women's right to vote was recognized in the United States, and well before the Western world caught up with the idea that everyone ought to have the right to a creatively and socially fulfilling life

what a lovely reply, James! Don't worry--this wasn't truly any kind of cry for attention, or cry from the depths, just the typical whinging on a melancholy night.
I suppose that I had a lot that wanted to be said. Melancholy nights are great for sharing these sorts of things. I've had my share.
By the way, "whinging" is a great word and I may have to steal it. I was sure that you hadn't misspelled "whining," so I looked it up. I love the sound. "Whinging." Hee hee.
keep your eyes peeled you never know how whence and from whom it'll be comin' atcha that's all I have to say...actually I have more. The better you can love yourself and get over the self-loathing, the more you facilitate a guy being able to reach you where it counts.
