Scarfing

Our road is being scarfed.

To Scarf: The monstrous machine is scarfing the main road in to our neighborhood. It might scarf 100 ft - 300 ft down each side street.

Night paving is going to start on October 29. Ten days of rough road.

And not a moment too soon! I was starting to worry that winter was going to come along and ravage that poor asphalt even more. Given a few more months of disrepair and slipshod patching some of those holes and ruts could have started eating bicycles and small children for lunch.

I've been turning off of Sellman Road on to Brandon Lane and taking that over to Cedar Lane, just to avoid Montgomery Road as much as I can.
