Today I go to Yale to see a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders. After the car blackout, the E.R. visit, after almost a week of hospitalization where I was literally confined to the bed and forbidden to eat, medications made my seizure like activity worse, my blood glucose spiked, and eventually they flung up their hands in defeat and ( Read more... )

Thanks. We're starting off slow until we pin down one of the many possible causes of this thing. But we're headed in the right direction.

I have nothing to say. I hope that you will be well soon, that they'll figure it out... that it's something stupid that can be fixed with antibiotics and you have no lasting effects.

I'm just incredibly sad to hear of what's happening. :(

And yet is is good to hear that you have such a supportive group of family and friends around you.

I hope they find out soon what is wrong and what can be done.

My new doctor fortunately has seen this before, is pinpointing one of the several possible causes, and we're moving forward!

This doctor is very thorough, capable and smart, as well as compassionate. He's seen this before and we're pinpointing the root cause. One step at a time and we'll get there. I will definite update as I go. Thanks, sweetie.
