Purely because I can't stop my mind from wandering back to the subject ever since that silly video mentioned that she might have "a past"- why, Phyllis Logan, couldn't you have given us a bit more to go on?- I have compiled a list of suggestions about what this "past" might entail- not all of them 100% serious. If anyone has any other ideas please

Lol this is a great list and all are great to think abt but i hope on the show they don't make it anything too sinister like being a murderer or having an affair ect lol

I must admit i am still wondering if she was just joking around for the interview or if she was actually serious??

I did occur to me that she was just being silly, as indeed her shouting at the crew and discussing her corset would indicate, but the speculative/shippy part of my brain took over!
It also occured to me that she was getting mixed up with last series and hinting about Joe Burns, whom we all know about!
In fact, Mr Burns, who I temporarily despised for interupting my beautiful Carson/Hughes sphere may indeed save us from the disturbing notions of murder and affairs. I myself am rooting for the table tennis option.

Haha yeah i like the tennis option too, as you may have guessed may fav characters are anna and bates but after them i am a big mrs hughes fan :) I love that she is authoritative yet she has a softer side to her as well when we see her talking to william or bates abt his leg. I hope we do get to see some more carson/hughes scene in s2 :) I know M/M are supposed to be the main draw for the show but i just can't really get into them as a pairing lol i much prefer anna/bates and carson/huges, even sybil/branson over them lol my bad i guess haha

I like the first two ones, I was thinking about making a fic about her lovechild coming to work at Downton after the war broke out to take care of his mother and such, causing Mr. Carson to be jealous since he doesn't know the boy is her child not a young man pursuing her. what do you think? Does that makes a good fic?

Oh good heavens, PLEASE do I have written the table tennis one, I love love love Carson/Hughes fanfic, or just Hughes fanfic. That sounds a very interesting plot. Where will you publish it?; tell me immediately you do!
