#7: I wish we had done chickenpox vaccine, Andreas having just had chickenpox. We were waiting until all the vaccines were done, but it's so miserable a disease to have.

Now, that's not the same as saying you should vaccinate for chickenpox, just that that would be my choice.

That loos like the fundamental basics! :-)
My friends with kids have very different levels of worry and information which they choose to follow. One feeds her bubs low salt baked beans, not the normal ones, because she read kidney failure can result from a high salt diet. I suspect that only happens when you feed your baby spoonfuls of salt, but heh, whatever makes her feel better I suppose.

I've been reading about adrenaline production and how high fluctuations in early childhood lead to a lack of adrenaline control in later life, sounds legit, and one of your points seem to relate to that, just keeping calm and on an even keel etc. v good for everyone.

I was really interested to hear you talk about "Expecting Better" before, I agree, I wish there was the equivalent for babies.

#10- Most health organizations say that so long as the mother is healthy, supplementing a breast fed baby is unnecessary before twelve months of age.

I too like to have a map to follow and felt like I had a wilderness of choices when my child was smallest (and still now as we approach two). The more mothers I talk to, the better I feel.
