I should have a cake icon

Jesus it has gotten cold here lately! It was 80 degrees on Tuesday, and then just barely hit 60 the past three days. Right now (at 12:15am), it's 38. I hate when the weather swings from one extreme to the other. :p ( Read more... )

They are pretty tasty~! But as is the case with most baked goods I make, by the time I'm done making them, I don't really want to eat them anymore. XD;; I had two of the rejects today and they were tasty! It's a lot of work for little reward, it seems. :p I'd never just make them for myself. They're way too sweet to eat a lot of them, which is why they're perfect to share with my coworkers! But I'm glad you think they look good! I like the pink~ :D

Heh, yeah, I could see them being a whole lot of sweet to eat. And hey, nothing wrong with making yummy things to give away, right?

The pink is really cute~ THEY ALL JUST LOOK SO AWESOME. :DDD

Whenever I make them, Jane always tries to steal them all. She doesn't like to share. XD;; And then she tells me to start a bakery. >__>

I think they'd be fun to make with friends, to see what different designs everyone can come up with. But no one ever wants to help me make mine. u__u So I make them however I want! I never did post my Christmas ones from last year, did I?

Those pops are adorable! *___* I'm so impressed. Cute sweets are my favourite, and I bet they're really tasty too.

Also, is it completely lame that I'm sort of offended it's the Chuo line and not the Yamanote? XD;;; The Yamanote is totally the best JR line! *has a bizarre love for the Yamanote line*

Thank you~! I love cute treats, too. They're just so time-consuming to make. :p

I know! Who likes the stupid Chuo line?! I'm with you--there needs to be some Wasshi Yamanote line love! I love that line~ So cheap and convenient. *__*

Yeah... @___@ But yours look amazing, so it's worth the effort, right? Do you mind telling me how you make them? Do you have a special pan or something? They're just so cute, I'd like to give it a try sometime.

Seriously. Plus, there's like the Chuo Sobu line and just the Chuo Line, and then there's Chuo Express, too, so like... there's not even just one Chuo line :P The Yamanote line is badass in its cheap convenience... and the fact that it's green! ^___~

Aww, thank you! I'm glad my hard work is appreciated (even if you can't taste them XD;; ). They're deceptively simple to make and don't require anything special! I originally got the idea from Bakerella's website. All you do is bake a cake (for this, I used a box of German Chocolate cake mix). Once it's cooked, let it cool completely, then crumble it up and mix it with about half a can of ready-made frosting. (You don't want them to be too mushy or they won't hold their shape well). Then you just take the cake+frosting mixture and roll it into balls. Freeze 'em for a bit to help them set up, then pop a stick in them and dip them in some candy melts. (And then I rolled some of mine in sprinkles).

Bakerella makes about 89347823648234 different kinds of ones--in all sorts of shapes and styles. I don't usually have that much patience. XD;; I've only ever attempted cupcake pops, and they're way more involved. They're definitely cute when they're all done, though ( ... )
