Can we talk about how horrible this is? Because I love Adrianne, but holy hell this is bad.

Poor Wondy, why does no one love you? :(

Hmm. I have to say some of it is her - the delivery and the gravitas aren't quite there (for me) and this HAS to be a (super)heroine start to finish. But there's a lot of sloppy writing and missed opportunities, esp. with the look and the tone of the show.

Ex: Opening scene's dominant sound: breathing and traffic noise and a chopper news team voiced by the weathergirl; a car hits her?; a sudden shift to 'superheroes are an everyday thing, care more about lawyering up, and yet aren't all that gritty either.' And "There's 20 of us" begs for a response. Where is the magic that Diana Prince had (and has, elsewhere)?

I think Adrianne would be a good superhero, it's just that that superhero isn't Diana. She doesn't feel like an Amazon princess to me, she feels more like Power Girl or Supergirl with the talk of her boobs and how perfect people expect her to be.

The opening scene is just silly. Wonder Woman isn't really known for her super speed and also she can fly! There's no reason for her to be hit by a car.

The action scenes seemed decent (if generic), but dude, what the hell is with the cheesy dialogue? I will say that Adrianne looks better in motion as Wondy than she did in the still pictures. But I always expected Wonder Woman to have a lower voice. Also, in the modern comics (the well-done ones), she seems regal and a tad bit aloof, and I'm not getting that here.

Because she has boobs and a vagina and girls can only be love interests or team members, not solo superheroes, silly! *eyeroll* No, seriously, I hope that since this pilot failed, she might have a bit more of a chance at a movie now.

The action scenes might have even looked a little bit better when they finished all of the post production effects, but I'm not sure anything could save that dialogue. I think jumping in to her story is a poor idea too; lost new-to-the-world!Diana as an origin story would help people be more sympathetic, I think. There are definitely more people in the world who can relate to the feeling of being knew to a place and feeling lost and left out than people who sympathize with toy designers not getting their likeness right.

Thor. <3 I actually think the woman who played Sif could do a good Diana if given the chance. Also I want to marry her.

WORD to all of this. I was confused as to why everyone seemed to know her. They didn't start Smallville with Superman running around Metropolis. Jumping right in doesn't give her a lot of room to grow. Also, it would've been cool to see the Amazons, but this was a David E. Kelley show and I think he mistook Wonder Woman for Ally McBeal in latex.

I realized the other day that she's my pick, too (her name is Jaimie Alexander and she seems pretty awesome). Sif was basically everything a well-done version of Diana should be, not whatever the heck this is. I want to marry her, too. Then again, I wanted to marry just about everyone in that movie.

They totally missed out on getting an awesome BAMF to play Hippolyta. And I would have loved to see Artemis too. :(

Jaimie Alexander is an excellent human being, I follow her on twitter. She loves comics and that's legitimately important to me when someone is doing an interpretation because if they love it, I think they're more respectful and faithful. So yeah, either Jaimie or Bridget Regan would be my top pick to play Diana.
