I got Jim's book in the mail! I can't wait to read it, but I'm waiting until we buy tissues.

cw_land has started (everyone should come join Team Supernatural) and one of the first challenges is writing codas for this year's season finales. But since I already wrote an SPN coda (which wasn't half bad, if I do say so myself), I'm not sure what to write. ( Read more... )

RORY ;_;

I miss him. And like killing him wasn't bad enough, they had to go and erase him from time too! I was not amused.

I have spoilery speculation about Rory's fate that might comfort you, if you want to hear about it. =]

So, it's been shown that things can be retrieved from the crack, right? Well, in the finale, Rory might be retrieved from the crack (alive, because of timey wimey stuff). Also, Rory has one more costume change we haven't seen. Also, DW likes to do things melodramatically and Rory's death wasn't nearly drawn out long enough. I'd write a huge meta thing but I'm on my phone. Anyways, bottom line is: I doubt Rory is gone for good.

HOW COULD YOU KILL RORY?! HE WAS MY FAVORITE. I LOVED HIM SO MUCH. BLAH BLAH BLAH EVERYTHING ELSE, RORY IS MY FAVORITE AND YOU KILL HIM TWICE IN THREE EPISODES. THIS IS NOT ON, DOCTOR WHO. I AM VERY MAD AT YOU. I WOULDN'T HAVE WATCHED THIS SHOW AND LOVED HIM IF I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO TEAR HIM AWAY FROM ME. FUCK YOU VERY MUCH. *CRIES FOREVER*
That's why I can't bring myself to watch that episode. Don't worry---watch the next episode, "Vincent and the Doctor," and embrace the whimsical bipolar wonder that is Vincent Van Gogh.

I watched Vincent and the Doctor right after and I just couldn't get that into it because I was still so upset over Rory. The end was very nice though. WOULD HAVE BEEN NICER IF RORY CAME BACK.

Which Doctor Who are you referring to? This new one with...Eleven?

I didn't read those spoilers because I'm trying to figure out what all this number business is and if I need to start all the way at the beginning with the first Doctor for it to make sense. I don't know.

Yes, the new one with Eleven. And you absolutely do not have to start back from 1. It's a VERY old show and there's Classic!Who which spans from the first Doctor to the eighth. And then there's new!Who which restarted back in 2005 I believe that's the 9th Doctor to now. If you just wanted to start with the 11th Doctor, you won't be behind. They try to make most new seasons really accessible to everyone else. If you wanted to start with Doctor Who, I'd suggest either starting with this season (the start of Eleven, technically season 5 of New!Who) or going back to 9, which is season 1 of New!Who. As a person who didn't really like the previous four seasons, I find this new season a lot more inviting to people who don't really know all about Who and the characters a lot more entertaining so... my two cents.
