Eric Kripke May Be Doing Sandman For TV.

Yes, THAT Sandman.

On the one hand, OMFG YES.  On the other?  I doubt any network will give it the budget it needs, and allow it to show everything featured in the comics.  Let's face it - a Sandman that's not dark as all get-out is a Sandman that's not worth watching. I could be on board with this IF it was going to be animated. Verrrrrry leery of seeing real live actresses playing any of the female parts. I do not want Death to have ginormous ta-tas, thankyouverymuch.

One thing that comforts me is that Kripke is a genuine fan of Gaiman and seems to have a lot of respect for him. There were Good Omens shoutouts right and left in this past season of Supernatural, and they were done well.

Still...shoutouts ≠ adaptation. o_O;;

I worry about Despair - I know canon has her as a naked ugly fat lady, but yeah. If they stay faithful to that? Way to reinforce Hollywood's fat-phobia. -_-;;

The more I think about it, all of the Endless could wind up being portrayed horribly. Some pretty-boy Edward Cullen wannabe as Dream, anyone? *hurk*
