HA! Were his philosophies interesting? Or more along the line of the crazy commercial drive dude with the colours and random rage towards instrumental music?

They were very hippy-dippy feel-good theories. I dunno, he was a bit strange maybe, but far from awful.

What is about people who think they have the right to bother you, just because you're carrying something unusual?

It drives me CRAZY. I DON'T want to talk to you! :) Maybe I'm just weird that way.

Oh, I don't know, I think it's sort of nice to break through that wall that people (and I!) have sometimes. When they go on and on it's a little frustrating though.

Also, you think you have it bad, you should have seen what would happen when I still had really long hair and carried an instrument. It doubles the number of interruptions.

Oh, that reminds me. One time (in Chicago), a scraggly-looking man asked me what kind of instrument I was carrying. A cello? Thanks, but he prefers country music. "Classical music is entertainment for Jews."
