more winning landscapes! i was looking at pictures of provence in france how medieval it looks! i visited san gimininano in italy 20 years ago i know what it could be like in the hills of nowhere siting in a dark winding alley having coffee on the cobbled street in this case, i brought a thermos of coffee to stop on a hill and enjoy your view! thanks
Yes, I'd love to return to the Provence soon https://lautenist.livejournal.com/249607.html I haven't been to Italy for a very long time. But have quite fond memories to Lake Como - I think I could post some pictures somewhen. Oh, and back in 2000/2001 we prepared a CD somewhere in Italy, taking a week or so just to play lute duets This region I somehow only imagine dark - while in reality we have many bright spots here, especially in spring and summer. It's in the head, it's all in the head
While living in Switzerland Italy was pretty close. We often went to italian speaking Switzerland (Ticino) for a lute weekend (which usually involved pretty much wine and culinary excursions) but hardly ever crossed the border. We did once to buy some wine only to find out that the wine has been cheaper in Switzerland (for instance https://lautenist.livejournal.com/19105.html and https://lautenist.livejournal.com/41114.html )
