I'm pretty sure the only one worthy of him is Arya, and I'm equally sure he's the only one worthy of her. Though if Jaime continues to be awesome, I might rethink.
Hi, are you me? :D THIS. Pretty much word for word what I'm thinking the whole time I read book 3. Which I still haven't finished. :P
The only pairing I think I might like better than Tyrion/Arya is Sandor/Arya.
Ahahahahaha. I'm so glad you said that! He kidnapped her in her most recent chapter, and my reaction was pretty much Yay! Now they will become friends and maybe fall in love. It could happen! Clearly, we really are of one mind.
I am a bit scared of finishing book 3. I have heard things in book 4 get even darker and bleaker than they already are, and let's be honest, things are already pretty fucking bleak. Sigh.
Nooooo! They both have a certain stubborn/violent/occasionally sweet streak that would make them kind of awesome together. Plus, it would horrify Sansa a little bit. They would both love that.
*nod nod nod* Up until then, I was reasonably sure it would follow the standard trajectory--bad things would happen to surrounding characters, but not to the main ones. I was so wrong! I'm a little worried about what else is in store for the rest of them.
Also, I refuse to reread unless GRRM brings out another book.
Yeah. And by the time GRRM does finish the next book, there will be no choice but to re-read -- honestly, it's been so long I can barely remember anything. *sighs*
The first book (or more) is being made into an HBO series that starts in April.
George RR Martin has a blog (on LJ actually) and he said he's almost ready to make an exciting announcement, which I think means a publication date for the next book. I hope. I read these books years ago and am still waiting for more...
I saw that on his LJ (I might have gone, like, 100 entries back in search of info, but we'll pretend I didn't), but I don't want to get my hopes up. From what I hear, the next book has been right around the corner for the last 3 years. Of course, I say I won't get my hopes up, but I totally already have. Sigh.
I think instead of sleeping with his crazy sister, Jaime should go for his brother, instead.
Ahaha, this did not occur to me when I was reading the books, but that was ages ago. Obviously I had not read enough slash at that point.
Sansa's annoyingness is matched only by Arya's awesomeness.
YES, YES, AND MORE YES.
A Song of Ice and Fire is ridiculously dark -- I have to say, it doesn't really get any less bleak from here on in; once Ned dies it pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the series. It's kind of like an angsty historical fantasy soap opera. \o/

It really is dark, isn't it? I think Eddard's death in book one was the point when I realised all bets were off.

Er, I feel like I should have more to say than that, but that's really about the size of it.
