Suggestions:

"Genesis" by Bernard Beckett
"Black Jewels" series by Anne Bishop
"Ephemera" duology by Anne Bishop
and "Warded Man" by Peter V. Brett

:D

"Genesis" is sci-fi, while the others are fantasy.

So glad to find someone else who likes them as much as I do; I honestly think I've read each book about 10 times. :D

HMMMM I'm guessing you aren't going to want any of the GIANT BOOKS OF DOOM massive sci-fi novels I love so much.

I know you've tried Anne McCaffrey in the past and didn't get into her, but have you tried her Acorna novels? They are far newer and more actual science fiction. Plus, unicorn-like aliens. XD

If you got into AM, that would take up like 30 of your books, easy. *grins*

No no tell me the giant books of doom!!

I don't think I've ever tried any Anne McCaffrey? WHat makes you think I have?

OOOKIES. Some of my favorite series are the Dune ones, by Frank Herbert, and then his son with another guy. They are big and thick and complicated, but I really like them. A lot of people don't, so I'd say read 'Dune' and if you like it, read Messiah and Children, then DON'T read the other three by FH. Read the ones by the son. They are easier to understand, and there is more action. XD ( ... )

Okay that's definitely a good list XD BUT I must ask, are any of them time travel because I *HATE* time travel, most authors/writers utterly FAIL at doing time travel without creating massive plot holes that piss me off XD

For comedic fantasy, I recommend Peter David's trilogy consisting of:

Sir Apropos of Nothing
The Woad to Wuin
Tong Lashing

The writing is adult and contains objectionable content but it's also absurd and pokes fun at the whole fantasy genre. I found it extremely entertaining. It's definitely not kiddie though.

You need to read the last Artemis Fowl and the Bartimaeus Trilogy. Bartimaeus is a riot. Sort of reminds me of Sorcery and Cecilia series in a way, but time period is different.

Have you ever read any Discworld before? Hilarious stuff

Will the time travel in Time Paradox give me a headache and piss me off? That's why I've been avoiding it. Bartimaeus Trilogy is on my list and my book shelf so no worries there XD.

And no I've never read any Terry Prachett (That is Terry Prachett right? XD)

From what I remember, I wouldn't think so, but its been well over a year since I read it. An since liking time travel is a requisite for Dr. Who fans, may be hard for me to say. But if you already have it, then might as well read it.

Yup, that's Pratchett. I love the character Death, and Hogfather is pretty hysterical. Had to make myself not laugh out loud when waiting in the car dealer. And no time travel that I've encountered so far ;)

I know you've already got the Glass Wars on your list (or have already read it). I'll also recommend the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind
