Boy, I'm glad to know that this story gets a GOOD stuff rating.

And nope, we're nowhere near the end. There are three more chapters to Ball and Chain. (written but not beta'ed yet) and then the third arc kicks in. It's called Comes a Time>/i> and I've written the first chapter of it (10,000 words). I'm hoping to finish the story this summer and fall.(I've got a big bang committment to do , also).

I'm glad that the aura stuff worked for you. Blair is starting to come into his owon as a shaman.

I love it when Jim goes primal AND caring :;happy shivers:; I could really feel his panic and anger here at the start and it's telling that he could damp it down; he's come a long way.

Always lovely to see more of this story and for them to have reached such a good point.

They are at a good point, starting to work back together as a team. And Jim was scared stiff and needed some reassurance on a very physical level.

Ok, I couldn't read it yesterday, I was at the eye doctors and eyes were dilated. I spent the rest of the day stumbling around unable to read anything.
I am soooo glad Blair didn't run off and now it looks as though he is planning on staying. He has to remember that a partnership is a 2 way street.
I can't wait for the next update, but I guess I am going to have to. Keep writing.

I know what you mean about the eyedrops. My supervisor had that test done, and then went shopping and couldn't see well enough to write a check. The clerk thought she was illiterate and wrote it out for her.

Blair just wanted to make his point, he didn't want to throw away the progress they'd been making, but this is a sticking point for them having a future together. They have to be equals in this partnership.

And I hope to write the rest of the third arc, Comes a Time this summer and fall. I've got 10,000 words written for the first chapter.

Another great chapter! But I hope this isn't going to be the end of the story... what happens when they get back to Cascade?

what happens when they get back to Cascade?

SO MUCH STUFF!

In Ball and Chain, they are really pretty much in their own little world. The long drive, the isolated cabins, all are fostering intimacy between them, which they desperately need, to work through the obstacles to having a good relationship. At this point, they are coming together, but what will happen when they are back in a community again?

Blair's life has been threatened and there's a case to solve about the Edwards murder.

Are they going to be in or out of the closet?

Blair had left. Cut his ties. Does he even fit in with any apsects of his old life, other than being Jim's lover?

I worked out the story probably a year and a half ago, but in writing it I haven't wanted to get too far ahead of T beta'ing it, in case of needing to make changes. But I hope to finish it this summer and fall.

Thanks for reading and commenting,

Laurie
