Aw, that was sweet! An interesting idea for an AU - I like that Blair takes the initiative to get inside the PD. You have his voice down wonderfully in this. And I loved that Jim kept doing things and sticking up for him, even though he didn't get why. :-)

I'm glad that Jim's attitude of being protective even when he's annoyed or angry with Blair came through, although it certainly was puzzling to him until he decided to just go with it.

And writing Blair totally ignoring the chain of command while still able to lecture about it was fun.

Yes, this was a great spin on Jim and Blair's first meeting. Like Paper Boy. And Henri is always loud in his tailoring. Ahh, poor Jim, fooling himself a little re: his wants.

I enjoyed this.

Henri sure seems to enjoy loud colors on his shirts, so it was amusing to give him a reason for wearing those Hawaiian shirts. I'm glad you enjoyed the story, and Jim's reaction to meeting his guide.

Very cool, I really enjoyed this alternate beginning. I thought that it stayed true to the characters and tone of the show while ironing out some of the issues the actual series had. Thank you so much for sharing!

keep penning,
