Yeah, it's time to tie up loose ends. Thanks so much for your feedback, it makes my day to read it. Sorry it took me a while to respond, this week has been crazy.

And on to the show.

I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Things are kind of tense with them right now, with William's ghost maybe showing up and maybe not.

Thanks for reading and commenting, the next chapter will be out in about a month, probably. I'm sending it to my beta hopefully before Christmas.

And now I wonder what's in William's past that killing Blair to 'save' Jim from the gay lifestyle ever seemed like a good idea. Compromise - it does seem to be a struggle for these Ellison men.

That was a good question. Compromising doesn't seem to be a value that was much emulated in that family.

Another excellent chapter, good wrapping up of some of the loose ends, especially William's motivations.

What a sad, sad commentary on him that he thought Blair being in love with Jim made the situation 'worse'.

Like the way you explained the 'fair fighting rules'. Words to live by, really (I say this as somebody who BLASTED my husband this morning because - well, doesn't matter. But I feel an appropriate amount of shame, now, lol).

The fair fighting rules didn't originate with me, I explain about them all the time to folks and I try to use it myself. It's hard, though when you're mad to stay calm enough to use them. Takes practice. Also, taking a break does not mean you won the argument. The discussion has to continue after you've calmed down.

The story is coming to an end, so loose ends need to be dealt with, and I wanted Sullivan's role explained.

Blair being in love with Jim meant he was firmly planted in Jim's life, and William had been hoping Blair would drift away.He wasn't looking at them and going, "Oh, good. My son has a terrific parnter who loves him enough to crash and burn for him."

Thanks for reading and commenting. Sorry I was so long getting back to you, this has been a crazy week.

The guys have come so far since Sweetwater... I love how they're influencing each other for good.

Jim's voice especially makes me happy in this chapter. The guy has a way with words. :-)

Ghost-busting next. Unlike Jim, I'm pretty darn jazzed about that prospect.

(I'm pretty sure my busy -- which is fits-and-starts busy, and often the result of horrifically mismanaged time and/or attitude -- is about three and a half percent of your normal everyday busy. So, yeah, no. You're completely most welcome, but it's never been a chore, even during the fits-and-starts periods.)

Hope your weekend is having some unstressful, relaxing, happy stretches in it.

I'll be sending you the next chapter hopefully before Christmas. I'm kind of nuts with getting things done, but hopefully I'll have time to eye it and kick it your way.

What a journey we've all been on since I sent you that first chapter and you sent me back that email that said you were hyperventilating on Blair's behalf.

Jim has probably changed his actions the most, Blair has grown as a shaman, and in understanding his own blind spots due to the abuse he experienced.

Thanks so much for everything, baybee.
