Never had wassail, but I love this story. Happy New Year, Laurie!

Wow, do you have super powers of knowing when fic's been posted? I mean, my keyboard letters are still warm from typing the header.

Wassail is tasty, and I made some for our anual Christmas eve party with neighbors and friends. I let people put in their own slug of rum, though, and left off the wine.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story and Happy New year back to you.

Nope, just happened to check LJ at the right moment. I've been on and off all day.

Oh, you bet Jim wouldn't let Blair off from scrubbing the counter.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

Jim listening to Blair drink wine straight from the bottle, Blair tasting "of holidays and winter" (mmmm), "used more oil than the Volvo sucks up in a week" -- and Blair licking up the spilled rum from the counter. All of that makes me very happy; warm, feel-good, unsappy happy here.

The spilling of the whiskey was worthwhile, to inspire this.

::twirls you::

I sopped up as much spilled booze as I could with my finger, but boy, I was tempted to just lick the counter. Instead, I made Blair be my proxy.

I'm glad that you liked the story, and that it gave you some happiness.

Ha, I just noticed your icon. That's hysterical.

Awww, sweet. And just these four words, I love kissing Blair made me grin like a loon. Just look at me - I'm still grinning. The scent memories is such nice thing to include, especially Jim just realizing it and it not being big deal to him. And I'd bet Blair wouldn't have to be cajoled into baking pies for Jim, but I love that Jim thinks he'd "have to" do some cajoling. LOL

Yeah, probably Blair would make those pies without the bribe, but then where's the fun in that?

So glad to hear from you and happy that you've enjoyed this little fic.
