Speculation

After testifying, Ellison and Sandburg stay in court and sit close together.  Kincaid watches them use their own language of touch, and he speculates about the detective and Mr. Natural being fags.

Kincaid doesn’t like queers; but he enjoys fucking punks, a practice he picked up in prison.

Kincaid is such a nasty piece of work, and you presented him in all his logical (un)glory, but without making him into a bogieman figure. The straight-forwardness of Kincaid's thought processes here is what makes this work.

He does have his own way of looking at the world, and when I saw the episode, how he handled Blair struck me as very predatory and personal.
Thanks for reading and commenting.

*Such* an intense picture of Kincaid, both the drabble and the fic. This is totally Kincaid to me, and totally the attitude and perception he'd have of Blair and Jim.

And Jim and Blair together through Kincaid's eyes is somehow all the more moving, seeing not only Kincaid's twisted, nasty view but also beyond it.

I like these so very much -- really powerful, and a terrific Kincaid voice.

He's a real S.O.B, ain't he. I wanted to see if I could write the pov of a not nice guy. Glad he came across as authentic to you. And thanks for the beta, which I just realized in my dazed state before leaving to go to Ohio for a family wedding yesterday, I forgot ::kicks self:: to credit you. I'll fix that right now.

No kicking allowed! ::frowns at you:: You never *have* to say anything; I'm happy doing it and I always feel very thanked, and we're totally cool, so don't worry, ever, about such things!

And damn. I just read your other post about not getting part 3 emailed to you so you could work on it. That just sucks! ::pets you soothingly, knowing how frustrated you must feel:: I hope you're having a good time despite being unable to follow inspiration when it strikes you!

That's just scary seeing them though his eyes :;shivers:; but so compelling. I want to scrub them clean.

Great job!

Meep!

It was so wonderful to get a drabble and a story!!! Plus I enjoyed seeing how they were interrelated! At the time, you said you had to write the story to do the drabble and I was fascinated by your process! And it was cool to feel the way you got so much of the story's emotion into a hundred words. Truly amazing!

Thank you so much for participating!

*twirls you*

Wonderful post! Now, I will do my linky thingie! Whee!

Wow, I really liked your presentation of Kincaid here - you capture his twisted thought processes and his militant nature very well. Creepy!
