I currently have a novelette in at Writers of the Future that I have high hopes for. Since the judging is anonymous, I don't want to say anything about the world it's set on or anything else, though I doubt any of the judges read my posts ( Read more... )

I haven't. I need to find out about my eligibility. I might not be eligible because I once designed and put together a photo illustration for an obscure small press comic-book anthology. (Plus I work in video games, so also complicates matters.)

I've got a story in progress that maybe I can finish up soon.

Definitely good luck on your WOTF entry!

One of the great things about writing a lot of stories in the same 29th century universe is that the playpen to work in keeps getting bigger. The really annoying part is realizing that you need to reference something from an early story that was written before the calendar got nailed down, so that's TWO stories you now have to revive. Dammit, when did they rescue the survivors of the USFS Serrano? (grin)

Isn't this fun?
