Fandom Stuff.

I haven't posted anything fandom-related for a long time. So here goes some little commentary, just in case anyone is interested in what I've been watching and reading.

Only the mildest of spoilers are hinted. For once, all the series are listed alphabetically.

check the tags for all the series, redundancies on a page bother me )

claymore, samurai champloo, baccano!, futurama, lalalalalala, escaflowne, rurouni kenshin, bakuman, adventure time, cross game, anime

I don't think you're missing anything except for Planetes, which we just started on last night (and I began re-reading the vastly different manga, also). And for the future, I still think the first half of Death Note should be a good watch. Not the second half, mind you. Just the first.

Yeah, Planetes. I know. I want to watch a few more eps before I officially complain about it. :D

I wouldn't mind watching the good parts of Death Note, although the ending is pretty much spoiled for me.

You're right, of course. Horrid typos on my part! :) Will go correct myself now.

I watched this slice-of-life series called Ano Hana (short for its mouthful title of 'Ano hi mita hana no namae wo boku tachi wa mada shiranai') sometime in August? I think. Anyway, I love the art and animation so much. The story was OK, but there were a few characters that... creeped me out. And, there were only 13 episodes to conquer so it was also a huge plus for me.

I haven't watched Bakuman in over a year. I was just flipping through the chapters weekly. I'm probably one of those who doesn't really care about Mashiro and Miho's relationship, :( but I agree that both of them could tie the knot and continue with the series anyway.

I haven't got any other recs, but just a sidenote, I'm now obsessed with Gintama ^___^ However injections of R-18 comedy are plentiful amongst the drama and swordfights, and one may get caught unaware, so it's tots not suitable with children around you T_T

Oh, I looked it up. Anything associated with Noitamina works for me -- so far, at least! I'll try to check it out when I can.

Obsessed with Gintama... you and so many other people! That's on my list of things to watch/read. Maybe when I'm done with Samurai Champloo. It's a hassle to make sure everything I watch before 9PM is child-proof. :P

The manga is a little snore-inducing in the beginning. I dropped it years ago without ever reaching Chapter 20. Over the years there were some laughs from an episode here and there, but I never really followed it closely. was too invested in Bleach *big mistake*

When they resumed the anime again this year, I picked one episode (202) for lack of things to do and fell right in love with it. I have now seen about 80 episodes (including the old ones) in the course of 3 weeks. XD

Hope you would love it as much as I do when you have the chance to check it out! <3333

Re: OMG YOU KNOW CLAYMORE! adam_epp October 25 2011, 22:49:38 UTC
However, Claymore is getting dull since 2010.

Hmm, I think it kind of is and kind of isn't. Obviously, the series is hurting lately from you-know-who disappearing, and I personally think Yagi Norihiro should start killing secondary Claymore characters again (they never die any more). But a lot of the boring, I think, comes from the series being released only once a month. If you read Claymore as it's being published, the pacing is unbelievably slow.

WHAT?! Raki grows up and becomes badass?! Nooooooooooooooo!

:D Just kidding. I guess it's better if he grows up and becomes less pathetic. At least he won't be like a certain girl in Bleach we know... (ahem, ahem.)

Yup, there is a new season of Futurama. It's funny, there's actually a lot of nudity in it. I guess changing networks (from Fox to Comedy Central) was a very good thing. There's actually a genderflipped episode in the new season, you might like it! It was crazy.

The buttsex poster is funny, isn't it? :D :D I found it on google images while looking for Cross Game wallpapers. After awhile I gave up, there wasn't anything good... not a lot of fanwork for Cross Game. (sad panda face)
