Forgive my mentioning her here, but it will be that Hime-chan won't ever get her fairytale story, too. (I associate the word 'fairytale' with 'Orihime', just as I do 'Supernova', 'epic', 'midget', among others, with 'IchiRuki'.)

Ah, what a thing to wake up to! Necrophilia fic. Laurie, my love, have we spawned a new genre? The romantic necrofic? I wouldn't know since I haven't read any other necrofics but yours and mine (still have to read Adam's, lol) thus far. I hadn't had breakfast before launching into this one but I was so curious about your writing challenge to yourself and I know to expect beautiful writing from you so....

Not only did I not get nauseated, I was moved in areas of my being that weren't visceral. This was lovely stuff. As with all your sex writing I get that OH THANK THE LORD IT'S HONEST feeling. You don't know how long I've been in fandom wading through overwrought impossible sex stories and even though there's always the thrill of the fantastical (and it's here, mind you), the main appeal of a story is always characterization... SEXY is TEH LOVE. Then again, I'm such a girl.

I'm sure Adam's story will be different.... <.< Hmmmmmm......

I'm glad waking up to a necrophilia fic didn't make you lose your appetite for breakfast. Skittles seem like a good choice, although the only thing within arm's reach is my pumpkin crunch squares.

I haven't read many necrophilia themed stories either, and aside from the crazy webcomic Adam sent me it's pretty much strange territory. Bleach is ideal material to spawn romantic necrofic. I hope it doesn't become a fanon cliche, though (unless it already is. Necro orgies are on the horizon...)

I'm happy that you think the sex bits were okay, it was the hardest to write. I figured no one would really want overwhelming detail on that, you know? *laughs*

Hmm, I thought you might choose a different pairing (like Byakuya x you-don't-care-who-else-since-the-other-side-is-Byakuya... just kidding) since you kind of already did IchiRuki for the short meme piece of infamy.

I didn't spot any grammatical errors. In fact, you probably have less than I do since I was so preoccupied with my fonts.

Moving on, I think it's funny how this is similar in some regards but so very different from my story. Mysterious force that kills? Check. Touching (let's pretend mine is) flashback? Check...Okay, that's about it.

I admit you one-upped me by having Ichigo injured since that allowed you to have Ichigo's guts spill onto Rukia. Like, dang, why didn't I think of something like that? Guess I'll have to get more gross when that shit hits the fan in my longer story which becomes less-and-less like a necrophilia fic all the time (though, it never really was from the beginning).

Well, time to use up all creativity for my next story.

I made the same observations while reading your fic... and I do like your flashback. I was also amused: I'm a girl and I wrote that the male was the one to do the dirty; while you (a guy) wrote that the female was the one to do it. We don't want our respective genders to be blamed for these acts, is that it? Hahahaha. Unconscious gender relations at play... or perhaps I'm overthinking again.

I'm glad you liked the viscera spill. I figured, Ichigo couldn't have sex without further injuring himself, and an injured Ichigo is always sexy.

Byakun doesn't talk much so he's, like, the polar opposite of virtually every other male in Bleach. Ergo, it's easy for yaoi fangirl fanfic writers to construct conflict between Byakuchaka and *insert (sorry) hotheaded (also sorry) male*. Ergo, false feelings of passion are easily portrayed. Ergo, it's easy for said writers to create a love-hate relationship. Ergo, hard gay sex.

No, I wouldn't say it's unconscious gender relations at play...in my case, at least. While I partly chose Tatsuki because I thought she was normal and wouldn't consort to consort with the dead, I also don't like about a girl getting "intimate" with a guy from the lady's perspective. Uh, so I challenged myself further in choosing Tatsuki.

As for why no IchiRuki, I had already decided that since your meme-nec was IchiRuki. I like being different, I suppose. Well, the next story from me will feature those two as the content is bizarre enough on its own.

I am intrigued by this statement. You don't like reading about it or do you have a difficult time writing it? Writing from another gender's perspective, especially about sex, is kind of hard difficult. For instance, I don't know much about male hydraulics, so that's why I never write about it.

I can't believe I just said that.

Moving along, I will wait for your next story, and hopefully it's as bizarre as you say it is, or else I'll feel awfully cheated.

the whole time, my extremely, almost pathetically low squick-o-meter was going, "He's going to have sex with the corpse. Oh my God, Laurie."
But I ignored it until the end when it actually happened, and when I read it I was gaping at the extreme sorrow portrayed in his desperation. It was such a violation of the boundaries of life/death and it was definitely high up on that list of "Things that You're NOT Supposed to Do" but I found myself embracing the idea wholeheartedly. An almost delusional feel to it that is really romantic...yet at the same time really creepy<33
