Man, this meme was really hard. How can people write flash fic on a regular basis?! I am truly boggled by the process. I need more than a three minute song to think.
Hello! First time posting here and I have to say, your writings are awesome. ^__^
When I read the last one, I instantly thought of the ending in the James Bond movie, On Her Majesty's Secret Service where he says "We have all the time in the world" when his wife dies. Quite sad :(
I think it's amazing anyone can write ficlets like this. And yours were all so good. I think I would have enjoyed them even more if i had any idea about the songs. I am so music deficient. Anything past 1979 I'm pretty much clueless about it and even before then it's pretty hit or miss. Still I at least knew the James Brown song. :D
Thanks. You're always so encouraging. *hugs* Actually none of the songs have much to do with the ficlets, I think I just went with the tempo of things. You're right though, only James Brown song is relatively old, but The Clash ("London's Burning") was actually released in 1979, and Elvis Costello ("I Want You") was written in the early 80's, sometime when I was in kindergarten! Really, I should not be acquainted with any of these three songs, but my family always said I was an old soul...
So what if some of those songs are old? Actually, I'm more familiar with older rock music because my dad would always have stuff like Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Blue Oyster Cult, and Led Zeppelin playing when I was a kid.
...Of course, it follows that I am weird for liking those bands since my parents listened to them. Whatever. I hate so many new songs.
I'm not bothered by my music being eclectic and occasionally older than me. :) Your choice of music did me wonder if you were really only 21! You're kind of lucky you have parents who at least listened to rock music. My mom's record collection is like, Nat King Cole and Perry Como. She once told me that the Beatles were noisy. Heh. Parents can be cool... if they are actually cool. My mom isn't.
A lot of new music just sucks. I can't stand all that emo stuff. My Chemical Romance just had a concert here and some little cousins asked me if I went, and I was thinking, "Why would I want to watch that sh*t?!"
Your taste in music is o not what I would imagine. I love you for it, lol.
#1 - So cute! I love the idea of Ichigo with a "happy scowl."
edit: He said to himself he would wasn’t doing this out of affection. It was merely to make sure she would be squashed; the drunks behind him who were slam dancing to such a slow song.#2 - I ROFL! I swear I almost injured myself laughing. Such delicious innuendo and yes I know it's totally innocent. But strangely yummy. XD

If you and Adam get into a necophilia Death-Match you should totally invite Deb., I'd pay good money for this, I really would.
Hmmm. I think I'm at a bit of a disadvantage since I haven't really written any necrophilia fics, not to mention both Deb and Laurie have considerably more experience writing than I do. And I man. Use simple words and grunt, when point no work. Plus, people actually read their stuff, unlike my stuff, so no one would know about my entry.
Still, you got to fight to the death, even if it means reading a lot of guro hentai for inspiration.
Interestingly, Debbie mentioned at my journal (where nobody goes) that she'd expect a lot of entries if she ever started a writing contest that had a porny doujin up for grabs. This gets me thinking: Death match + porno + necrophilia theme = Best. Contest. Ever. There just needs to be some loophole that would allow Deb to participate.
I would offer a prize, but that would involve scrolling through merch and may take me forever because I'm easily distracted, but this sounds like a good idea to get myself some fun entertainment.
I have never lurked your journal before, but consider this a subtle invitation, I see you've written crack!Shinji - :yell
Does it actually have to be an official contest for us to have this necrophilia Death Match, or do you only write for doujins? *Ohh... cold.*
And I don't think you are at a disadvantage. I've never written about necrophilia before until the little vignette above. And yeah, I may have a couple of years' experience on you, but you also have... hmm. awesome insight into mental illness on your side. (Does this count? You keep quoting your psychology profs. I always thought a thorough understanding of mental aberrations is one of the steps towards becoming a better writer. If there are no screwed up people, there would be no stories.)
So, what say you, young man? Do you accept this challenge, or do you want to finish your IshiHime fic first? :)
how do I say this... The last one was my fave (followed by UKITAKE's of course!!!!!!). Yeah, the idea was initially weird, but I found it bittersweet and slightly romantic. Ugh, I hope that doesn't imply something about my mental state. Ichigo's Too-Much-Love-Too-Little-Time thing was heartbreaking. He could be crazy, he could be into necrophilia; but he can also be too broken to want warmth from Rukia in that state.
I'm so glad he ditches Shakespeare. Pulling a Romeo is used in stories for far too often...
Oh, I have no doubts about your mental state whatsoever. *wink* You're insane, just like the rest of us. Mwahahahaha.
I think I've only liked the whole Shakespeare-in-Bleach fanfic thing only once or twice. Although if you stop to think of it, Ichigo's already pulled off a Romeo stunt by having his chain of fate chopped off.
Personally, I think Kubo was joking when he listed the Bard as Ichigo's favorite. I took it as a sign that "this is a clever boy with some pretensions... forgive him, he doesn't know better, and sometimes he thinks in cliches." Mwahahahaha. Am I too cruel to Ichigo?
