**I'm not very war-savvy, so these are just my feelings at this moment*
So, I'm watching Across The Universe, and it makes me so sad, that even though time has gone passed 40+ years, it is still the same, but now people just lay down and take it! People complain about hippies, and how they were smelly, and, whatever else people say about them, but they believed in a world that was nice, and peaceful, and lovely, a bit dirty and gritty, but still honest, and beautiful, and friendly. It's just so sad that people don't seem to care. True, not as many men have died in this war than the war in 'Nam, but are they seriously trying to beat that number?! They're still people, with families, and every time I read or hear about another soldier, and how they left behind a child who barely knew them, or a baby they never even met! It's sickening that people still have to do this. I know, it's the soldier's choice, and they are proud of their country, but I really don't know what would happen if no one chose to fight. I mean anyone, in the whole world.
Anyhoo, on a more positive note. I want to talk to you kids today about the word CUNT. If everyone says the word at least once a day to start off with, then twice a day, then three times etc, it would lose all it's meaning, and people would become to except the word as just that..a WORD. It's just a word. I'm not big on swearing, it kind of annoys me, and I like shocking people when I do swear, but if there are no 'bad' words out there...wouldn't it be better more calmer place, because the swear words wouldn't be bad words if everyone said them, and they wouldn't be taboo. Just like any other word!
My rant is over, and I want to say that I definitely had tears in my eyes writing the first part.
Gotta go
