That's a great idea! When you are ready to start building the actual app, drop me a line, I'd be delighted to help make sure it's secure so you don't accidentally unleash everyone's data to the world.

This excites me! Yay!

One suggestion, though: the language you used in your survey ('participants') was better, I think, than the language you use here ('subjects'). When researchers talk about 'subjects', that screams "oh, they don't mean YOUR kind of research" to people like me.

Unless you don't actually mean my kind of research, in which case carry on. But then you might want to disregard my survey results. :-)

Ooh, thanks for the feedback. Does "subjects" imply psych research to you?

Well, yes, but also any kind of research where you do something TO someone. (My research is just about recording conversation, mostly.)

Ah, right, that makes sense! Also, "informants" makes me giggle and think of spies or police informants, which is awesome -- I wish we used that term in our research. :)

Wow, cool. We run a study every semester that's part of our grant, etc. One thing we have to have in our survey/study software is that it is completely accessible to visually impaired people.

Oh, thanks for the info! That's a whole set of issues/features we hadn't thought about yet.

Sure, and there are folks in my office who will probably be happy to test that in your final product.
