Squee! Our feline roommate has moved in. She is lovely and friendly and cute, and so far has not made me sneeze at all. I have no willpower whatsoever against kitties -- she was meowing pitifully at my bedroom door for a while this morning, and I let her in. I don't want to make a habit of letting her in my room -- for allergy reasons -- but I ( Read more... )

My cat is desperate to get into the closet in the office! She keeps smelling around the edges of the door and sticking a paw under. I can't let her in because there's a hole in the wall she could climb into. The strange thing is that she's pretty much ignoring the bedroom closet. I really wonder what about the office closet is so interesting!

Finnine!! I miss her.

I'm so pleased that you two are getting along well. She seems to like you. However, don't feel compelled to let her into your room. She's a pushy bitch (just like her mama) and likes getting her way, but no is an acceptable answer. :)

As for the closet, she is definitely a hider. Closets, drawers, underneath beds, etc. You're smart to not let her in.

*grin* I'm definitely aware I can say no if I need to, and I don't think I'll have trouble doing so. But I'm really enjoying her company for the moment (and enjoying working on my new, actually accessible, desk space in my room!), so I'll let her get away with it for the moment. :)

She likes getting away with it. Hee. ;)

Did you let her into my room last night? I don't remember hearing it but then she woke me up at 4am to get out. It was very confusing!

Oh crazy! I did let her into your room, because she was howling late at night and scratching (I think at my door, actually, since I'd just gone in a little bit before). But I left the door open for her to come and go -- the wind must have shut it again.

My camera's having issues currently, but I'll try to get kitteh picz soon. :) And yes, I understand that problem with "playa". I didn't know until Burning Man that a playa was a dry lakebed -- I suspect that is etymologically related to it being the word for beach, but I don't actually know.
