Great fic, with the most reasonable interpretation of canon's recent developments I've yet seen. Shisui and the art of mindfuck. XD This piece has the same tight, staccato feel to it as does your fic with Madara and Hana. Very direct, clear, and definitely leaves a memorable impression. The scene is so strong, I actually think it may be better as a stand-alone TWT than it is with that last paragraph to ground it in a certain time and place--but that's purely a matter of personal taste. I love Shisui's last line of dialogue, here; it creates a certain resonance, I guess, that lasts beyond its words.

Again, excellent! Adding this to my list of favorite fics. Thank you so much for sharing! <3

Yeah, I'm surprised that there hasn't been more Shisui fic what with the revelation of his ability and face.
This was inspired by seniorwitch's comment on how fearsome his ability is.
I was worried that the whole mind-screwing aspect didn't come across that well.

Ok, so this is Itachi's dream/ illusion right? He's still being haunted by Shisui' s memories. Itachi's allowing himself to be swept away by this delusion?

Or is some part of Shisui still able to influence Itachi even in death?
