Happy day to all! Sympathies to those in the UK who just lost your hour to British Summer Time. I'm still trying to overcome our time change two weeks ago ( Read more... )

Ha! I would walk before I would fly to London in a pencil skirt :).

Yeah, I'm much in the Boho Dress mode, especially for flying -- I want to be comfy.

But I am 100% with you, I do not dress down to fly. I may be comfy, but I'm going to look good.

And btw, your final outfit sounds ideal! And very variable, good for travel.

A pencil skirt would be... problematic for an eight-hour flight, I totally agree! :)

The Boho mode is very much the style here in my small town, and it looks so good on so many people. Alas, me not so much.

Cheers!

I love your fashion posts!

I also love to pack. My travel wardrobe is build upon my most comfortable pair of shoes, and I usually pick a color for below the waist, and match pants, shoes and bag, all black, usually. Then I can wear any tops except brown, if that makes sense.

That dress sounds way more comfortable than any pants, plus gorgeous.

YES, shoes are critical! It's really important in London since I'll be walking several miles a day.

I actually like a warm caramel brown with black, but it's a tricky combination. :)

Cheers and hugs to you! I hope you're feeling better.

I usually like to wear jeans or other comfortable trousers when I fly, but I don't want to wear my favorite jeans/trousers that I'll be wearing during my trip, because I'll have spent a day wearing them in airports and airplanes. It is a conundrum. :-)

I completely agree with not wanting to wear my favorite clothes on the plane!

Cheers and hugs!

I applaud you for not wanting to dress down when you fly. I've only gotten as far as less obvious yoga pants for long-haul flights. Your travel outfit sounds very nice (minus the turtleneck...can't wear those).

Less obvious yoga trousers work well! I can't pull them off -- they still look athleisure on my body -- but I've seen some ponte knit leggings that read luxe. On other people. :)

Cheers for you, T!

Travel clothes are so hard! Three different climates at best, multiple events sometimes, and they need to feel good and look good! Sounds like a great solution.

Just don't wear leggings with nothing over them (not that you would,,,)

Yes indeed! You travel with even more complicated climate-related challenges than I will be, but even so -- London in May can be very warm or very chilly, and I have to be prepared for both!

I rarely wear leggings out of the house, much less on a plane. :)

Hugs and joys for you today!
