This summer I am engaged in some much needed home renovation and refreshment, but I am stressing a bit because I don't have a consistent style.

If I take one of those online quizzes, as found at Decorist, I can never actually decide which interior space I want or like best. Here are various styles I find lovely (warning: Pinterest):

My ideal, hmmm. Cool, airy, bookcases and comfy chairs? Comfort.

[Hugs for stress] I'm not sure if I have a coherent style, I just arrange what I like with things I enjoy looking at where I can see them, and it seems to work, mostly. I guess you'd call it family eclectic. Although one of these days, I really should climb back behind the TV and replace the stuffed critters Shadow knocked off the top of the big bookshelf last time she was in a rockety mood.

Oh, and I like 3 and 4 best of your images. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you go with what makes you happy, that's your style. Something along those lines.

Cats as interior decorators. Well, it'd be a unique style.

I can never resist an online quiz, so I took the decorist one - apparently I'm a Modernist. Not sure I feel it, but whatever.

My decorating descriptive phrase? Lived in cosy with books and magazines at fingertips with room for family to have a nap on the sofa in the sunshine and more books.
