*A pipette is a laboratory instrument used to transport a measured volume of liquid. Most of them work by clicking down with your thumb kind of like with a ball point pen.

Oh man, I am laughing so hard at this but so not for the reason you might think. I interned for three months in a genetics lab (they were mapping the genome for corn) and I used to get pipette thumb constantly. All I could think is man! if only our boss had seen this! LOL

I am so emailing her this link. The new interns don't need to suffer! (I think they are typing the radish genome or something now).

(OK It's really Schmidt's Restaurant and Sausage Haus with Schmidt's Fudge Haus next door, but McCain at at both and then gave a speech standing in front of the sign that said "Fudge Haus" )
