I wish I could watch TV or drink a cup of tea and call it a relaxing evening at home. I am always too anxious at the end of the day, though. If my hands and mouth aren't busy, I feel edgy. So when I come home from work/school/the gym, I get on the computer and eat snacks. Does anyone know of a way to stop this bad habit? Posting notes-to-self ( Read more... )

Even though I can't psychoanalyze, I can relate. I was considering making a post not unlike this one!

The rare and coveted day off always turns into a time where I think, "Well, I'll let myself sit down and read a book after I (clean the kitchen/go running/check my e-mail/eat string cheese/do other unnecessary time-wasting thing)," and before I know it, the sit down and read never happens.

I hope at least you can find a solution someday soon.

I hope you can find a solution, too. It sounds like we have similar predicaments. But I have always seen you as a very productive person. At least, you seem like one--with your multiple jobs, animals, wedding planning, exercising, and homeowning. I just have work, school, and Ned! I guess Ned's a handful, though.

I need to get off the computer right now!!
