Stained glass on the door is so pretty.
Someday I will learn how to make stained glass.

I was doing genealogy work last weekend when I saw this old newspaper ad and thought of you and your kind. The Vermont they are referring to is Vermont, IL, a small farming and mill town near me.

That's cool! I love old stuff like that! Your genealogy work must be endlessly fascinating!

Thanks for sharing :)

It can be fascinating. More often than not it's following leads that go nowhere. Good thing to do in a midwestern winter.

We SO need to get together one of these days...chat about roots, 'sploring (now that it's cold and there's no allergens to bug me)...all that good stuff.

Ya should've just hollered "Shot!" and I'd have moved away from that distance shot of the dumbwaiter. ;)

No, I love getting some shots with people in them, especially if the people are in the distance! Of course they'd never agree over at abandonedplaces but they're my pictures and I like them! :)

If someone winds up in a pic when I don't want them to, I wait for them to be out of frame and snap another...or I call their name and get some random, "Huh? Eh?" look. HEHEHEHEHE!!!

We should've set up all three of our cameras on our "partying tripods" somewhere and taken a few of you me and Steve. D'OH! S'ok...next trip out there, remind me. :D
