Fark! SCARY that happened just up the street from y'all! WHOA! Hope they catch the bastitch who did that...SOON!

I should've gone up closer past the second "scary tree of doom" and did some better headlamp light-painting. They DID turn out cool though. I still feel bad that poor Peanut got that freaked out. (I could've easily held his hand while walking up to that second "scary tree of doom" so he'd have been ok.)

Having seen the map of how tiny that town really is...I think both of us would have reacted with an, "OMG, DUH!!" if we'd have missed it...but yeah, it was REALLY DARK for being just past twilight.

Hey nice userpic! ;)

I should have taken Peanut out of the car, but he said he didn't want to. He's really afraid of the dark, the poor thing! But he definitely would have done better coming with us, cause then at least he wouldn't have been alone.

I'd have even given him my headlamp to play with (but still insisted to hold his hand) so he'd have fun and forget that it was dark outside. :D

Whoa, they cleared out the fallen tree! Or were you further up than that?

Here's one of ninevah's pictures from a long time ago (about 2003, I think):

I love that picture! :)

Yeah I don't think the tree on the left was there anymore. The one on the right has a broken branch that hangs over the sidewalk.

I so have to go back there in the day some time!

Someow it seems even further away than it seemed to me.

In its heyday it had such a nice BIG grassy area to play on.

He took that picture with a wide-angle lens. That always makes perspective wonky.
