I did the most disgusting thing EVER today. I ate a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos. What's wrong with me? If I remember right, i craved NC Doritos when I was pregnant with Peanut too. But, shouldn't I be craving yogurt and wheat germ and crap like that? Shouldn't I crave something healthy? Or at least, something with even the smallest atom of ( Read more... )

Cravings like that, when handled in moderation, aren't all that bad.

You're eating healthy otherwise and that's the most important thing. I've encountered patients where the Doritos were the HEALTHIEST thing they ate and still had healthy kids (miraculously).

There are things more unhealthy than Doritos? I'd hate to meet that food!

Maybe those wafer cookies? ... there's nothing in those but corn syrup! Mmmmm... wafer cookies... I'll be eating those when I'm on The Diet, because they're one of the only acceptable junk foods. And I need my junk food!!!

There is no way you were as bad as me (and mine turned out damed cute and smart, thank you very much!). ;)

I swear i lived only on pretzel sticks and Coke (I had the unfortunate "morning" sickness where I never actually puked (that would have helped!!), but just felt perpetually as if I'd had way too many wine coolers at a party and wanted desperately to be ill but was too proud to let anyone there hear me hork it up. :P) It was very unpleasant and the only thing that helped was the Coke n pretzels.

Also, my prenatals made it like 10 times worse, so after a bit, I didn't take them anymore. I know, I am going to hell for that. Sigh.

It's funny you brought up Nacho Cheese Doritos. I haven't ate those in probably two years, but then I had a couple tonight because I was at my grandmothers old house with some family and that is what they had to eat.

That's the only time I ever eat them either, when I'm at someone's house and they put a bowl of them out. I never *buy* them, unless I'm pregnant. And then I try to buy the little bag. But of course today, the smallest bag they had was the 99 cent bag. I don't think you're supposed to eat the whole damn bag right then and there in about 3 minutes, but that's what I did!

They don't sell them there? What kind of horrible place is that?? ;P Yeah, my eating habits are nothing to write home about. If I have to do more than stick something in the microwave, I don't want anything to do with it! :)

I have eaten more of those in the last 6 mos than I have in the last 6 years. Only the Nacho cheese ones though...the others sound yucky. So many things sound yucky these days. I want tuna salad but I'm not supposed to have it because of the mercury. Mmmmmmm...tuna salad.

Mini Eggs are out! Those are good for you, right? I've heard eggs are high in protein. :)

Yes! Only the nacho cheese ones! I only eat them when I'm pregnant or at someone's party and there's a bowl right there. OMG now I'm thinking about them again... :O

I craved tuna salad with Peanut. Who's telling you you can't have tuna? They say you can have a can per week. Just don't use more than a can! (In fact, some people say the beneficial effects of eating fish probably outweigh the negative effects of mercury, so eating small amounts is probably better than eating none at all. I only eat none at all because I've sworn off fish. "Nothing from the sea" is my new motto!)

Yes, Mini Eggs ARE good for you! I've already gone through one bag, and I have another waiting at home. OK, it wasn't really I who went through that bag. I think Greg ate over half! Shame, shame... I also found chocolate-covered marshmallows at Target, AND of course, creme eggs, and those malted milk balls that look like eggs... :)
