The upgrades weren't worth it, based on the TCO and the cost of the ink. Unless you need to go all the way up to the big-damn $14K jobs.
Sadly, they no longer make the R1900, so when this one dies, I suspect we'll be looking at an R2000, which costs less and may or may not be better.

I am looking at the R2000 and the R3000 as they are both on sale right now so comprably priced. And yeah, the 'costs less' scares me a bit... I wonder if the local microcenter would let me run off a print there... :/
