Inspired by
lexalot's Brave New Superman manip:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/lexalot/163834.html which was in turn inspired by the Brave New Metropolis episode of Superman:

Kings of the Castle
Kal and Lex are kings, just like their fathers said they would be. They overthrew the city council in March 2012, and have ruled Metropolis together for a decade.
Lex informs the citizens what they must do, how they must act and the consequences they may face. Lex dispatches Kal in cases of non-compliance. People comply very quickly after a visit from Kal.
Lex is very grateful for Kal's continued assistance in these matters. He shows Kal the extent of his gratitude on a nightly basis, in their bed.
Kal proudly bears his lover's mark, permanently etched into his skin.

Clark had apparently fallen into a parallel universe. Courtesy of STAR Labs’ dimension machine.
(Lex loves parallel universes. He especially loves telling Clark about the 12 issue Warrior Angel arc from 1993 that’s full of parallel universes, most of which have Cal and Sean as friends instead of enemies.)

He had nothing to lose in telling Kal everything, seeing as this place probably didn’t really exist.
“You must know who I am, Kal? I’m you, but I go by Clark Kent. That’s why I look exactly like you. As to how I got here, there was a lab accident, and I think I subsequently fell down a rabbit hole.”
Oh, very Lexian.
It really was just as well he’d been at STAR Labs as Clark Kent, on a story for the Planet, otherwise he would have had to explain the uniform too. And wouldn’t that have been fun.
