But I admit I'm unfamiliar with some of the symbols. The ones with the ovals and the P's, in particular. Where can I look them up online?

The "P" is for Pamsexual, and I'm not sure which you mean by the ovals. Verry few of these is standard, but ultimately it doesn't matter.

In the posted closeup, first row of full tiles, 2nd & 3rd tile from the left.

Also row 4, 2nd full tile from the left.

The circles are flattened, which is why I called them ovals.
