Some progress

I got Gabby to the open windowsill and then fed her and Bentley bits of devon at the same time. She hissed at Bentley at first but not now. And Bentley whined at first seeing her there and then stopped when I started feeding them both. Most cats don't react well when you bring another cat into the house, let alone a Big Scary DOG! For Gabby to be brave enough to swipe the bits off the washing machine does indeed bode well. And getting Bently to ignore her is a good sign, too.

You might be able to shut Xena in a part of the house that Bently doesn't go into, so she gets used to the sounds and smell of Bently, while being "safe" from him. Visit her often. Once she's calmed down, you can open the door, but still leave all her food/litter/toys in that part of the house. Make sure she has a high place she can go to to feel safe. It's inconvenient, but it usually works.

Once they're all acclimated to each other, you can scrub out the extra litter trays and use them for garden storage.

Ah - Bentley chased Gabby this morning round the back of the house. Sigh.
