Thank you, I'm so happy that you liked it! It's strange, lol, Dean is my favorite character, but I really enjoy fics where he dies... *gives self strange looks, lol* I hope you'll enjoy the next part! :)

I truly enjoyed this.

Sam felt resentment rise up in him suddenly, bubbling just below the surface, his disbelief rapidly giving way to anger.

That is so much like Sam to be angry with John, and you've gotten into his head so well explaining the reason why. The tension between father and son was always so strong while Dean was alive, and without him, it's sure to only get worse. And I love the fact that Sam stifles that anger, for the moment, out of respect to Dean.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter! :)

I'm also so happy that you think I am doing a good job with Sam. Though I really like Sam, Dean is my favorite, and I'm always a little worried about capturing Sam's voice.

The tension between Sam and John was what made me want to write this story. :) Dean was always there to keep things from going too far, to try to smooth things over, even as a spirit in IMTOD he knocked the glass off the table and it stopped them. I couldn't help thinking, what would happen if he wasn't there?

I hope you'll enjoy the next part just as much! :)
