In my case, I'm old enough to remember a TV show he narrated in the late 70s titled "In Search Of..." Each week it presented supernatural or mysterious topics. As a kid I was already fascinated with such things and this was my source of info (there was no internet and my parents got a little freaked out when all my library books were about UFOs, Atlantis, and the Bermuda Triangle). His voice was not only the voice of reason, calm, and logic, it was the voice of knowledge, wonder, and what if. I will miss it.
Leonard Nimoy is definitely a legend. I watched Star Trek with my brothers, and then I watched Fringe, where he guest starred. Always sad when someone of his stature passes away.

I've never had a chance to see that show, but I can just imagine what it sounded like when he was narrating it. He had such a wonderful voice.
