Why do so many liberals hate Bush? I don't mean disagree with his policies, I mean hate him like he killed their father and raped their sister. I really want to know, I'm not trying to troll or start a flame-war, I just know there are several leftward leaning people who read my journal, and maybe they understand, because I sure don't.
In the interest of avoiding flaming, please keep the rhetoric and personal attacks down. And if you can think of a whole bunch of reasons, please just give a couple...that's all I need :-)
Also, for those of you who don't know, I'm fairly centrist in my leanings in terms of philosophy, however I recently tended to side more with the Republicans, mainly because the rhetoric that I have seen coming from the Democrats is so inane. So you don't think I am hopelessly biased, most of my pre-election preferred winners have been Democratic, but unfortunately they don't usually earn the Democratic nomination.
Edit: Just to clarify, since it seems that the discussion is vearing off course a bit. For the purpose of this discussion, I don't care whether Bush is a bad or good President. As
sesaworuban said below "never has politics felt more personal", and I am just wondering why? Because that somes up my feeling exactly, I don't remember people hating Clinton this much even though there were plenty of people who thought he was a bad President.
