This is why I'm dropping very unsubtle hints to my family that hey, look, there's this series I really like, and ooh, a new book and you know you can never work out what to get me for Christmas... Shelf space I do without. :) Hence the (oh god) five piles of books on my bedroom floor.

You know you want to. And you never know, they might be in a library - my school has them, and the local library used to have them until the YA section got taken over by endless copies of Twilight.

WHUT WHUT WHUT WHUT WHUT. Steam Punk? AND supernatural related crimes?! Just what I needed, though. I have Zorba the Greek, Zadie Smith and Monique Roffey (aka all highly recommended stuff I'm dying to delve into) waiting for me on the one hand, and all this DW stuff and new discoveries ( ^^^^ !!! ) on the other. Whattoodooo. Chuck it, time for some Horatio Lyle, then.

Horatio Lyle is so damn awesome, I cannot recommend the books enough! And I need to make a note of these other books you mentioned - I always end up with book tokens and can never remember a single book I want to buy.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I have all these fancy "to keep in mind to get" lists in my head when I've no money and then when I get all these gift cards, they lay there for months. Oh, btw, I read The Turing Test after reading your fic, and it's a nod to your talent, that reading it in that order, made perfect sense. The Turing in the EDA seamed to seamlessly pick up from where you left him (not chronologically, of course). Respect. :)

:D You read it! (Wow, that was fast.) I love the way Paul Leonard wrote his narration, it just seemed to click with me. *blushes* Thank you for saying such lovely things!
