Why do I get a frowny face for "restless"? I feel like I failed something. Is "restless" necessarily that bad a thing? I have a three-day weekend with no plans, naturally I'm restless, you judgmental computer program! Maybe I smile when I'm restless, you don't know! I want a better emoticon!! I want illustrated ants in illustrated pants!

Ooo, I'm commenting on my own entry. I think my mood just changed from "restless" to "pathetic".

Welcome (back) to the scary, scary world of blogging, my friend! (Three-day weekends are awesome for wasting time on the Internets, don't you think? If you're not up at your family's cabin for two of the three days, that is.)

Glad to see you've decided to give it a spin here at LiveJournal! I look forward to seeing your blogging slant (since I've already become a fan of your writing with the hilarious Chronicles) and reading what you have to say. And I also hope that your blogging presence may encourage some of our other mutual friends to lend their own hands to blogs ( ... )

Thanks for the welcome, my Tallest! No I haven't seen the sphinxes in "MirrorMask" yet, though I snooped through the fancy shmancy "MirrorMask" book that came in on hold for you a while back! I'll have to check it out. I was inspired by a dim memory of the sphinxes in "The Neverending Story", who scared bejeebers out of me when I was a kid.

Hey, and I have never considered any of the awesome gang as whippersnappers or hooligans (well maybe hooligans sometimes, but only when we mean to be). And as long as you guys don't feel like I'm an overgrown kid feeding off of everyone else's youth, I'll quit harping over my age. Sorry, I'm unusually obsessed with it this year!

Here's to extended detours along the road to Thebes... and critical hits on Ancient Greek pilgrims!
