It looks like I will now have to give in to the evil that is Blu-Ray, for I just discovered that the uncut theatrical version of Grindhouse will be released as a blu-ray exclusive in October.  Combined with the fact that the correct subtitles for "Let The Right One In" are only available on the blu-ray release, I don't think that I can hold out ( Read more... )

On the upside, all your DVDs that you play in the Blu-Ray should be up-scaled to the higher resolution. Which of course means that they'll all look like they were shot "straight to video" style, or so I've noticed.

PJ, I love you. I know that you love me, so here's my gift to you.

The majority of Blu-Ray DVDs come with a digital copy of the film for viewing on your computer. Some even come with old DVDs for use in your vehicle.

You don't have to buy the Blu-Ray player yet. Unless you want to. Just make sure that you get the disc with the digital and/or DVD version.
